Singapore, 12 March 2015: Zee TV, the flagship channel of Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd., has announced the launch of new Hindi General Entertainment Channel (GEC) &TV HD and TEN Cricket exclusively on the ZEE Family (Zeefamily.tv) mobile app. TEN Cricket will be available in Singapore, Thailand, Japan, Indonesia, Israel, Fiji and Philippines, while &TV HD will be available in these countries as well as Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong.
&TV HD will showcase a diverse and dynamic mix of relatable fiction, high voltage non-fiction, marquee events and blockbuster movies while TEN Cricket will broadcast 24-hours of cricket matches and tours for fans of the sport.
The ZEE Family App, which was launched in Asia Pacific last month, is an IPTV Service that gives viewers instant and unlimited access to a wide variety of Bollywood and Indian regional original content from the ZEE suite of television networks on their mobile devices.
“With a rising trend of media consumption on mobile devices and tablets, the ZEE Family App will ensure a high quality and hassle-free viewing experience of ZEE channels, and catch up options. The app was launched last month and already we have seen a high daily subscriber pick up. Conversion rates from download to usage currently stand at more than 80%. We are confident that the addition of &TV HD and TEN Cricket will appeal to the progressive diaspora in the Asia Pacific region,” said Mr. Sushruta Samanta, Business Head Asia Pacific.
The app is free from now till 31st March, and will be a paid product from 2nd April 2015. It is available in 10 Asia Pacific countries including Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Indonesia, Israel, Fiji and Philippines.
