China: 2012 Olympic Revenue higher than 2008
CCTV Ad Revenue from London Olympics Outperforms Beijing CCTV have earned RMB1.6 billion (US$0.25 billion) in ad revenues from the London Olympics broadcast in nine days since it opened, according to statistics released by Changrong Broadcast and Media Market Research Center.
Average day ad revenues reached RMB177 million (US$27.88 million) in the first nine days, which is 47.5% higher than that during Beijing 2008. CCTV brought in RMB1.92 billion (US$0.3 billion) in ad revenues from broadcast of Beijing 2008, which is RMB120 million (US$18.9 million) per day.
