BBC Worldwide, the commercial arm of the BBC, has launched a new YouTube channel, Earth Unplugged.

The channel is operated by the broadcaster’s natural history production brand BBC Earth.

Earth Unplugged is BBC Worldwide’s first original-content channel for YouTube. The company said it forms part of its plans to build a consumer facing multi-channel network on YouTube.

The channel will feature new content created by BBC Earth Productions, including Earth Juice, Meet My Planet and Walking With Dinosaurs.
