A+E Networks Unveils Global Digital Initiative for HISTORY Docuseries


A worldwide mobile campaign and social media initiative has been developed by A+E Networks for Mankind: The Story of All of Us, a 12-hour docuseries broadcast by HISTORY in the U.S. and around the globe.

 

The mobile campaign consists of an app for iOS and Android devices, which will be offered in the U.S., Italy, Southeast Asia and Latin America. The free app will feature hundreds of Mankind trivia facts, dozens of short form clips, commentary from experts and images. The social media initiative includes daily updates and topical interactive features, such as puzzles, trivia and live Twitter discussions while the program is airing. 

 

Using CGI reconstructions, Mankind: The Story of All of Us investigates the history of the human race over the years. Major events that are mentioned include the Ice Age, the fall of the Aztec Empire and the Industrial Revolution, to name a few.
