The track-changes version of Netflix’s vision for the future of TV
Netflix CEO Reed Hastings is candid about his streaming video company’s strategy and its place in the future of television. A year ago, he laid it all out in a lengthy manifesto touching on Netflix’s competitors, plans for original shows, and relationship with the rest of the internet.
Hastings has updated his “Long-Term View” several times since it was first published, and the changes—some major, others subtle, and a few of them matters of style—reflect a rapidly changing industry. The resulting track-changes view is below: deletions in red and additions in green. http://www.asi.eu.com/2014/04/28/one-year-later-the-track-changes-version-of-netflixs-vision-for-the-future-of-tv/
