Jeremy’s take on Can Netflix kill cable TV if it’s part of it?:
I’ve never actually heard the Netflix folks say anything about killing TV. It actually only takes one tiny bit of looking down the road to realize how catastrophic a concept that would be for Netflix too (not that there are any other shows than House of Cards AFAIK). I’ll say it for years to come: Netflix is a perfect complement to any other TV service for mainstream audience. At this point, any comparison to it and cable, HBO, etc seems like its just the media trying to tell a story they don’t fully understand http://www.asi.eu.com/2014/05/09/can-netflix-kill-cable-tv-if-its-part-of-it/
