The pay-TV market is booming across the Asia Pacific region with the addition of 36.74 million subscribers (7.3% growth) in the 12 months to end-March, 2015, according to the latest research from Dataxis.
End 1Q15 there were 537.6 million pay-TV subs across the region, with IPTV growing 21.3% to 56.75 million, followed by DTH with 16.2% growth to 78.93 million, cable television up 4% to 396.58 million, while pay-DTT subscriptions rose just 0.2% to 3.85 million.
