3 Dec, 2015 – The Ministry of Information & Broadcasting (MIB) has granted new licences to Star India for its four Maa TV Network channels.
Consequently, Maa TV, Maa Movies, Maa Music and Maa Gold have now formally come under Star’s fold. The 21st Century Fox-owned company had acquired Maa TV’s broadcast business for $375 million in February.
With Maa TV Network thus ceasing operations, the old licences under the company will be surrendered to the MIB, said a source close to the development.
