Hong Kong’s Leading Internet Company to Launch DreamWorks Channel, a Multi-Platform

Service Featuring Around-the-Clock DreamWorks Animation Content

 

 

GLENDALE, CA and HONG KONG – March 30, 2016 – LeEco and DreamWorks Animation (Nasdaq: DWA) today announced the arrival of the DreamWorks Channel in Hong Kong and Macau. Following the DreamWorks Channel’s launches in Thailand and Malaysia in 2015 and Singapore earlier this year, Hong Kong and Macau become the next territories in Asia to debut the channel, featuring more original content than any other kids channel in Asia. HBO Asia is managing affiliate sales, marketing and technical services for the new channel.

 

Beginning April 1, the DreamWorks channel will be available for all LeEco members under Le VIP membership in Cantonese on channel 511 and English on channel 512 and exclusively through LeEco’s hardware including their SuperTVs, Le Superphones, and the Le TV Box (set top box). An SVOD offering of the DreamWorks Channel will also be launching later this year.

 

The initial line-up will include DWA’s signature series Dragons: Race to the Edge, from the critically acclaimed How to Train Your Dragon franchise, and Dinotrux, DWA’s first original series that welcomes viewers to a world of giant creatures that are half dinosaur, half construction vehicle and all awesome! Additional series that will launch on the new channel include All Hail King Julien, The Adventures of Puss in Boots, Dawn of the Croods, and The Mr. Peabody & Sherman Show. The channel will also present a daily morning preschool block, DreamWorks Junior, featuring such favorites as Raa Raa The Noisy Lion and Guess with Jess.
